Why Your Jeep Wrangler Storage Area is So Important

Why Your Jeep Wrangler Storage Area is So Important

When Jeepers are asked why they’re so in love with their Jeep Wrangler, we often blurt out these 4 responses (sampled from actual Jeep Wrangler owners):

“I love the customizability options available!”

“There’s so much history and American pride associated with Jeep Wranglers and the Jeep Brand!”

“I’m a huge off roader. The Jeep Wrangler is perfect for me!”

“The updates made in the all new 2018 Jeep Wranglers look and feel absolutely amazing!”

While none of these answers are inherently wrong, there’s one major part of our Jeeps that we seem to always forget: our Jeep Wrangler integrated storage.

It’s hard to put a finger on why we always seem to neglect one of the most important parts of our Jeeping experience, but my guess is that it has a lot to do with the fact that all vehicles have some sort of storage capability. We as Jeepers love to brag about what makes our cars different. We unfortunately can’t really do that when raving about our Jeep Wrangler storage.

Or can we?

Contrary to popular belief, your Jeep Wrangler storage is important and should be praised just as much as any other aspect of your Wrangler.

Why, you ask?

Your Jeep Wrangler Storage gives you room for all your daily travel and adventure needs

That’s a big one.

Most Jeep Wrangler integrated storage space, sometimes known as the cargo area, averages about 31.5 cubic feet of space. While that may not seem like a lot at first glance. You’d be surprised at the amount of stuff you can fit in the rear of your Jeep Wrangler.

Us Jeepers are adventurers, workers, artists, authors, and more. Whether you’re carrying emergency items for your next offroad vacation, looking for some space to keep your luggage as your journey to the airport, or simply use your Jeep as a means of transporting items between work and home, none of this would be possible without the amazing designers at Jeep developing a space for you to hold all these things. Yes, it is understandably easy to take for granted, but imagine how much more difficult your life without a place to store everything you need on a day out!

One of the biggest complaints from Jeep Wrangler storage owners is that the 31.5 cubic feet of space that comes standard in nearly all modern, 4-door Jeep Wranglers is somehow not enough.

No worries! We have you covered in our next argument for why your Jeep Wrangler storage is one of the most important parts of your vehicle.

Your Jeep Wrangler storage can easily be upgraded

As someone with a best friend who work at a Certified Jeep Dealership, the best way to reel someone into buying a brand new Jeep Wrangler is one sentence.

“You can customize it and upgrade it to your heart’s content!”

That one sentence seems to spark a vast imagination in new car buyers and they see the possibilities as endless (which they are).

What dealers fail to mention when faced with concerns about the debatably small rear cargo area is the fact that it is truly one of the easiest parts on your vehicle to customize and upgrade!

Just like all other Jeep Wrangler accessories, there are tons and tons of Jeep Wrangler modifications that let you to drastically increase the cargo area of your Wrangler – allowing you to increase your load by up to double or triple your previous capabilities. Some have even been recognized world renown Jeep conventions and trade shows.

Take XG Cargo for example. Their Jeep Wrangler integrated storage accessories have won multiple awards at auto shows across America. The best selling Sportsman Line received an inundation of praise by critics at the SEMA Trade Show and press outlets nationwide as one of the Top Jeep Parts of 2017.

The Sportsman line came to fruition after a team of serious outdoorsmen struggled with the same storage issues that plague Jeep owners across the country. Their brand-new Jeep Wrangler integrated storage upgrade includes sleek BEARHYDETM heavy-duty water-resistant construction, a plethora of pockets for tools and outdoor supplies, as well as a removable pet window for your furry friends. XG Cargo’s Jeep Wrangler modification currently comes in three different trims: the standard Sportsman, the Sportsman with a Floor Liner, and the Sportsman with a Floor Liner and Speaker Cut Outs.

In the world of novelty Jeep products, Jeep Wrangler storage accessories are garnering a lot of traction and quickly becoming the go-to first upgrade for new Jeep owners due to its relatively low price, ease of installation, and ability to completely transform the external look and interior aesthetic of your Jeep Wrangler.

Whether or not you are one of those who find themselves griping about the small size your Jeep Wrangler integrated storage, purchasing Jeep Wrangler storage upgrades could be a great addition to your Jeep for more reasons than one!

Your Jeep Wrangler Storage is easy to access

Many Jeep owners see the incredibly open design of the Jeep Wrangler rear cargo area as a con that incites theft and induces paranoia when away from your vehicle.

While this may be true, there’s also a quick fix.

Investing in some of the Jeep Wrangler upgrades mentioned above will be sure to keep your items and safe and secure whenever you’re away from your vehicle. This way, you can engage in whatever activity or responsibility you must without having to worry about who may be snooping around your car!

Being able to easily access items in your Jeep Wrangler storage make travelling and adventuring simple!

Gone are the days when you accidentally lock your car keys in your trunk, forcing you to call the help of a 3rd party company and paying them loads of cash to unlock it. If you forget your keys in the trunk, simply hop over the rear passenger’s seat and retrieve it! It’s as simple as ever.

If you prefer to open your Jeep Wrangler storage the way it was meant to, feel free to prop open the door and enter (if you have your key, of course.)

Sometimes it may feel like the easy accessibility may be more of a con than a pro, but when you find yourself accidentally locking your friend’s keys in his or her mid-sized sedan, you’ll be more than grateful for your Jeep Wrangler.

Your Jeep Wrangler Storage is easy to clean

Believe it or not, the extremely open and accessible design of your Jeep Wrangler storage has more positives than just being able to accidentally lock your keys in your trunk.

Being as open as it is, the Jeep Wrangler allows for a ton of air circulation to the interior of your vehicle that naturally transcends into the rear cargo area. This means that carrying a smelly load like a couple tuna from a successful fishing trip won’t completely stink up your Jeep Wrangler integrated storage space, keeping the air in it and around it as clean as humanly possible.

Imagine putting some raw tuna in the trunk of a regular midsize SUV – as the rear cargo area is connected to the main interior area of that vehicle, having an unpleasant smelling payload will make driving your car nearly unbearable for a week at the very least!

As a whole, the Jeep Wrangler storage and interior areas are composed of mostly plastic and aluminum, making it incredibly easy to wipe down in the event of a spill.

After a quick clean, the open nature of your Jeep Wrangler integrated storage will allow for a nice, easy dry.

Your Jeep Wrangler storage is an often overlooked part of the Jeep experience. Let’s face it – it’s not really the most fun thing to talk about when compared to lift kits and floor liners.

However, companies like XG Cargo have entered the market, developing Jeep Wrangler storage accessories for the travelers, the adventurers, and the doers.

Next time you’re asked what you love about your car, don’t forget about how important your Jeep Wrangler storage is for everyday journeys. Who knows what we Jeepers would do without it!
