What vehicles does the M5 fit?
The M5 fits rigid MOLLE panels installed in Jeep Wrangler (JK, JL, JLU), Jeep Gladiator JT, Ford Bronco 6th Gen (2021–present), Toyota 4Runner, Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon, and similar vehicles with aftermarket rigid MOLLE panels. It also mounts to XG Cargo M Panels, tailgate MOLLE panels, and headliner MOLLE panels.
Is the M5 compatible with plate carriers or soft PALS gear?
No. The M7 uses a rigid frame and is designed for hard, rigid MOLLE panels — not flexible fabric PALS surfaces like plate carriers, tactical vests, or soft-sided packs.
How does the M5 mount?
The M7 mounts from the front of the panel using the VersaMount™ bracket, which threads through standard adjustable 1-inch MOLLE. No rear access to the panel is required. Installation takes under 30 seconds. To remove, pull the pod forward and the magnetic lock releases — the bracket stays on the panel so you can swap pods without reinstalling hardware.
Can the M5 be used without a MOLLE panel?
Yes. Every M5 ships with both the MOLLE clips and a 3M® VHB™ flat adhesive backer. Choose one mounting option at a time. The adhesive backer bonds to smooth, clean surfaces and holds up to the full 2 lb rated load — ideal for camper walls, tool chests, metal panels, or smooth interior trim.
Is the M5 waterproof?
The M5 is weather-resistant and handles rain, splash, dust, and UV exposure. It is not rated for full submersion.
How much weight can the M5 hold?
The M7 is rated for a 2 lb load when properly mounted to a rigid MOLLE panel or a clean flat surface with the VHB backer.
Will the adhesive mount damage my vehicle?
The included 3M® VHB™ tape is an industrial high-bond adhesive designed for permanent-grade mounting. It can be removed with heat and adhesive remover, but it is intended as a long-term mount. For temporary applications, use the MOLLE clip option instead.
Can I use multiple M5 Pods together?
Yes. The 57 is sold as Single, Double Pack, and Triple Pack. Pods can be mounted side-by-side or stacked vertically on a larger MOLLE panel. Many users combine the M7 with the smaller M5 Pod and the M12 Magnetic Tool Roll to build a complete modular loadout.
